Manufaktur 964s
Manufaktur 964 is a small workshop that only builds and maintains Porsche 964s – factory‑looking cars with modern reliability for real roads, not show stands.
We don’t do maintenance or repair jobs on tired cars. Every 964 we touch goes through one of two in‑house programs – Rolling Restoration or Full Build – using the same 5‑stage build process. Both start from a real 964 and end as a car you can fuel, turn the key and drive 1–2,000 km any day, in any weather without thinking about it.

For owners who want a 964 that looks OEM and feels like a modern car to drive.
Starts from a good donor or your existing 964
All relevant mechanical systems rebuilt:
– Oil system and Heating/AC fully rebuilt
– Suspension and brakes rebuilt to individual spec
– Engine & gearbox rebuilt based on conditionExterior & interior kept OEM+ and usable rather than concours
1–2,000 km shakedown in real conditions before handover

Rolling Restoration
Full Build
For owners who want their “forever” 964 – essentially a new car built around them.
Includes everything in the Rolling Restoration program, plus:
– Bare‑shell body and paint work
– Complete interior rebuild to your spec (still OEM‑look)
– Detail work everywhere you’ll see and touch the carFull mechanical restoration of all systems, including the engine.
Same 1–2,000 km shakedown before you ever see it

How we build Manufaktur 964s
01/ Discovery
We start with how you actually drive: daily, touring, track or all three, then define the right base car, spec and budget window.
We inspect your 964 or help source a donor, then map chassis, drivetrain, electrics, interior and cosmetics into a clear build plan with milestones.
02/ Donor & Plan
03/ Bare‑shell rebuild
The car is stripped to a bare shell and every major system is refreshed or re‑engineered to our “fuel, key, go anywhere” standard.
04/ Shakedown
We drive the car 1.000+ km in real conditions to expose and solve issues before you ever see them.
05/ Delivery & Care
You get a detailed build dossier, recommended care plan and the option for us to look after the car long term.

We’re based in Gau-Algesheim, Germany. Most of our clients are in Europe, but we also work with international owners. Transport and import can be arranged as part of a project. Consultation is available in German and English. Visits are by appointment only.

Prepared 964s we’ve fully sorted and offer for sale usually sit in the €150-250k range, depending on base car and work done. Commissioned builds, taken to our “Rolling Restoration” or “Full Build” standard, are above that, and priced individually once we know your use‑case and spec. We don’t offer “cheap” partial refreshes; every system we touch is done correctly, once.

Prepared 964s are available to drive as soon as they’re sold. A commissioned build typically takes 12–24 months from agreement to handover, depending on scope and paint/bodywork. During that time you get regular photo/video updates at key milestones.

Both work. We can inspect your existing 964 and plan from there, or help you find a suitable donor in the market. For full builds we strongly recommend choosing the donor together, so we don’t start from a car that fights the project.

In short: no. We don’t do one‑off patch jobs or TÜV‑only repairs. Once we open up a system, we take it to the standard we know is safe and reliable for long‑distance use. That’s how we protect both your investment and our name.

We build 964s to be driven: Autobahn, Alps, everyday roads, in real weather. Values are a side‑effect, not the goal. Our focus is OEM exterior, factory‑new feel, and the kind of reliability that lets you do 1,000–2,000 km at a time without thinking about it.
